Mexted Motors has had a presence in Tawa since the mid 1920’s and acquired the Todd/Mitsubishi dealership in 1951.

More recently the company became a Suzuki dealership in 2009 further expanding the choice of vehicles to the Northern Wellington suburbs.

There has been huge growth in Wellington's Northern suburbs. "When you look at the eastern side of the motorway and the extension of Churton Park with 2,000 sections being developed for private dwellings, the Takapu Island industrial development, you can see the expansion and changes almost every day." It's only 10 minutes from Wellington, straight off the motorway and there's no hassle with central city traffic.

Alan Mexted, the Dealer Principal, grew up in Tawa, taking over the successful Mexted Motors business from his father and before him his grandfather.

As well as having many loyal and long-standing customers in the Tawa area, Alan and his team have sold and serviced cars to customers across the city and its surrounding suburbs.

Alan says his point of difference is service and the trust our customers have in us. While most businesses often say that, you can see that hassle-free motoring is a clear experience for Mexted's customers.
